Our Mission

We help kids learn by building.

WildCoders turns passive screen time into creative confidence. Kids build games with Koda, their safe AI coach — growing into curious problem-solvers in an AI-powered world.

Welcome to the Wilderness

A world your kid builds, one quest at a time.

Your kid's projects don't disappear into a folder. Every game they make, every story they write, every quiz they design becomes a real place in their personal Wilderness — a creature in the cave, a cabin on the trail, a shrine by the river.

Their world grows every time they build. They come back tomorrow because there's more to discover, more to make, more to show you.

The moment they pull you over to show you what they made — that's what we're building toward.

Meet Koda

Koda is your kid's guide in the Wilderness.

She's not a textbook. She's not ChatGPT. She's a coach — built on the principles that great human teachers use to actually move kids long-term.

PILLAR 01
Asks. Doesn't tell.
Great coaches talk less and ask more. Koda guides with questions, so your child learns to think — not copy.
PILLAR 02
Believes in your kid.
High expectations, paired with real support. She treats every kid like they're capable of more — because they are.
PILLAR 03
Celebrates the effort.
Especially when something didn't work the first time. The win that matters is the try — that's where resilience is built.
PILLAR 04
Meets your kid where they are.
Every kid learns differently. Koda stays one step ahead — close enough to reach, far enough to stretch.
What kids build, what their world becomes

Every project a kid creates becomes a real place in their Wilderness.

AI is going to be everywhere in your kid's lifetime. The kids who grow up building with AI — not just consuming it — will be the ones directing it. Every quiz, every story, every game your kid creates with Koda is rehearsal for that future.

And the cool part? Their work doesn't disappear. It lives in their world.

Why WildCoders

Not just another AI study app.

Most AI tutors were built for college students cramming for exams. We built Koda for the kids who are still figuring out how to think.

Other AI tutors

  • Built for high schoolers and college students
  • Hand kids the answer through whiteboard lessons
  • Optimize for grades and test scores
  • A faceless tool with no values
  • Same experience for a 9-year-old or a 19-year-old

WildCoders + Koda

  • A persistent learning world your kid actually wants to return to
  • A coach who grows with your kid as AI grows up around them
  • Designed specifically for kids ages 8–13
  • Asks coaching questions so kids learn to think
  • Every project becomes a real place in their Wilderness
  • Every input filtered. Every conversation visible to parents.
How it works

Enter. Build. Watch your world grow.

Built so kids want to come back tomorrow — and the day after that.

01

Enter the Wilderness.

Koda greets your kid by name and offers a few quests to choose from — based on what they love and what they're ready for.

No homework feel. Just a world to explore.
02

Build with Koda.

A game, a story, a quiz, a math challenge — your kid's idea, their decisions. Koda coaches with questions, never hands them the answer.

This is where screen time becomes build time.
03

Watch the world grow.

Every project becomes a permanent place in their Wilderness. You get a report showing what they built and what they learned.

Zero guesswork. Real progress.
See Koda in action

A real moment, mid-session.

This is what every Koda interaction looks like. She doesn't hand over the answer — she hands back the question.

Online — ready to learn
Hey Sam — last time we were building your dinosaur quiz. Want to keep going, or try something new today?
Keep going! But make it harder.
Love that. Before I help — what's one thing you'd add that would make YOU want to play it twice?

Notice what didn't happen: Koda didn't suggest a feature. She didn't write the code. She handed Sam back the creative responsibility — because that's where the real learning lives.

For families and schools

Built to support families and schools.

Parents can use WildCoders at home today. School partnerships are coming soon — with teacher dashboards, lesson plan integration, and district-wide deployment.

$1 Back to Schools

Every WildCoders kid funds their school.

When you sign up, you pick the school your kid attends. From that day forward, $1 of every monthly subscription goes directly to that school — every month, automatically.

It's not a gimmick. It's how we built it. The schools your kids spend their days in deserve more, and you helping us help them is just how this works.

Safety is the foundation

Built by parents, for parents.

Ungoverned AI lets kids drift into mischief and skips the values that should be at the center of how they grow up. Koda is different — every input is filtered, every output is age-appropriate, and the whole experience is built around what should happen, not just what's allowed.

  • 🛡️
Every input is filtered. Kids can't accidentally — or intentionally — get into territory we'd never allow.
  • 🚫
No ads. No data sales. Ever. Your child is the user, not the product. We're funded by subscriptions, not surveillance.
  • 📖
You can read every conversation. Full session reports go to parents. Nothing hidden, nothing private from you.
  • 🐯
Koda has values. Always kind. Never personal. Always teaching. She's an AI built with character, on purpose.

Questions

Things parents ask us.

Is this safe for my kid?
Yes — and we take that seriously. Every input from your child is filtered before reaching the AI. Every response is governed by Koda's coaching values. There are no ads, no data sales, and you can read every conversation. We built this for our own kids first.
What ages is this for?
WildCoders is designed for kids ages 8 to 13. Koda meets them where they are — whether they're brand new to coding or already building. The platform stays one step ahead, growing with your child.
How is Koda different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a general-purpose tool built for adults. Koda is a kid-safe coach built around clear learning principles — designed for ages 8-13, governed by four coaching pillars, and focused on helping kids learn to think rather than handing them answers. The difference is the difference between dependency and capability.
Can Koda help with school subjects?
Yes. Kids can build projects around math, science, history, reading, and their own interests. Over time, Koda will grow into a broader learning companion for schoolwork and life.
Does my kid need to know how to code?
No. Koda guides them through everything. Most kids start by describing what they want to build in plain English, and Koda walks them through the thinking. Real coding concepts come later — once curiosity is already lit.
Can I see what my kid is doing?
Yes. After every Build Mode session, you get a parent report showing what your child worked on, the questions Koda asked, and where they're heading next. Full transparency — that's the deal.
How does the $1-to-schools program actually work?
When you sign up, you pick the school your kid attends. From that point on, $1 of every monthly subscription is set aside for that school and sent quarterly. No extra cost to you, no opt-in required, no fine print. If your kid changes schools, you can update it anytime in your account.
What if my kid doesn't like it?
Cancel anytime within the 7-day trial and you won't be charged. After that, cancel anytime — no contracts, no hassle.
